Rockland County Boards and Commissions

Rockland County

Rockland County is looking for volunteers to fill vacancies on several Boards and Commissions.  These voluntary positions are an incredible opportunity for residents to impact policies, shape equitable laws, and serve in an advisory capacity to the County. 

Anyone interested in serving on one of these Boards or Commissions is encouraged to head to the County website for more information on board requirements, responsibilities, and meeting times.

The following Boards and Commissions have vacancies:

  • Agricultural and Farm Protection Board
  • Arts in Public Places Committee
  • Board of Appeals (Pertaining to the Drainage Agency as per Stream Control Act, Chapter 846)
  • Board of Health (Need to be a physician)
  • Board of Towers (as in tow-trucks)
  • Community Services Board
  • Community Services Board - Chemical Dependency Subcommittee
  • Community Services Board - Developmental Disabilities Subcommittee
  • Community Services Board - Mental Health Subcommittee
  • Environmental Management Council
  • Historic Preservation Board
  • Home Improvement Licensing Board
  • Industrial Development Agency
  • Local Emergency Planning Committee
  • Office for the Aging Advisory Council
  • Park Commission
  • Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Sheet Metal Examiners Board
  • Rent Guidelines Board
  • Rockland County Traffic Safety Board
  • Workforce Development Board
