A Storm is Coming - Garbage Collection, Parking and Other Recommendations

Village Sign

In light of the snowstorm expected Sunday night into Monday morning, Wesley Hills would like to remind our residents of the following:

  • Please be aware that in the event more than four (4) inches of snow has accumulated on your driveway and you have not created a pathway to the Garbage container set out for Back/Side Door collection, the Contractor is not obligated to collect such Garbage.
  • There is no overnight parking allowed on public streets in Wesley Hills throughout the year.  In addition, people should not park on the streets during the day when they are in need of plowing as vehicles parked on the street interfere with plowing operations.
  • If the fire hydrant in your neighborhood is blocked by snow, it may slow down firefighters responding to a fire.  Please help out by clearing the snow in front of and around hydrants.
  • O&R asks customers to carefully clear snow and ice away from the natural gas regulator and meter as well as any outdoor vents associated with gas equipment. If possible, use a broom instead of a shovel to minimize the chance of damaging the piping. Keeping the equipment and vents clear of ice allow for safe delivery of natural gas.

Best regards,

Marshall Katz, Mayor
