Heritage Quilters Donates a Quilt to Wesley Hills
The Village of Wesley Hills would like to thank Heritage Quilters of the Palisades for donating the quilt pictured below to the Village. It will be proudly displayed in the Community Center at Village Hall. The quilt is constructed of remnants of various t-shirts that were sold over the years by the Willow Tree Civic Association at its Wesley Hills Day celebrations. The center panel is a reproduction of a watercolor painting by R. P. Burghardt that hangs in the Mayor's office at Village Hall.
Heritage Quilters of the Palisades meets from 10am - 1pm Tuesdays in the Village's Community Center and welcomes new members. They provide "comfort quilts" for veterans, hospitals and families in need and is looking for opportunities to donate their works. If you are interested in joining or suggesting a donation please contact Christine Healy at cdhmsn@aol.com .
Best regards,
Marshall Katz, Mayor
