Community Choice Aggregation

CCA

On June 5th, the Village held a well attended public hearing on a law concerning Community Choice Aggregation. By way of this law, the Village is trying to help its residents save money on electricity and natural gas by joining a bulk purchasing group, giving us the clout necessary to negotiate lower fixed-rate costs.  A representative of Good Energy, the Program Administrator the Village is planning to hire, was there to answer the many questions our residents had concerning Community Choice Aggregation.  The law was passed unanimously by the Village Board.  Keep an eye out in the next few months for mailings from Good Energy concerning the program and how to opt-out if you so choose.
