Alert - Fire Inspection Scam

Our Fire Inspector has notified me that at least one business in the Village received a phone call telling them that their fire inspection has not been done this year and asking them for their credit card and a large payment.  If you get such a call, please hang up.

The Village Fire Inspector contacts businesses directly to schedule inspections and does not take credit card payments over the phone.  Also, please note that fire inspections are only conducted on business, institutional and other non-residential uses.
