Property Tax Collection Information and Dates

Properties in the Village of Wesley Hills receive three property tax bills each year.  By New York State law, taxpayers are responsible to pay their property tax bills whether or not they receive them in the mail.  Both the Village and the Town offer online, by mail and in person payment options.  Online payment options include e-checks and credit cards (there may be convenience fees).

  • Village Tax
    • Billed on June 1st
    • Due by July 1st
    • 5% penalty added to bill if not paid by July 1st
    • Additional 1% penalty added to bill for each additional month it is not paid through October 31st.
    • After October 31st - tax bill is passed on to Rockland County for collection and may no longer be paid directly to the Village
  • Town/County/Special District Taxes
    • Billed by the Town in a consolidated bill on January 1st
    • Due by January 31st
    • 1% penalty added to bill if paid after January 31st
    • 2% penalty added to bill if paid after February 28th
    • After March 31st - tax bill is passed on to Rockland County for collection and may no longer be paid directly to the Town
    • The Town offers partial payment options
  • School Tax
    • The Town of Ramapo handles the tax bill and collection of the school tax
    • Billed on September 1st
    • Due by September 30th
    • Additional 5% penalty added to the bill after September 30th
    • After October 31st - tax bill is passed on to Rockland County for collection and may no longer be paid directly to the Town
