Wesley Hills Choice - Energy Aggregation Program to Begin in July

Wesley Hills Choice

The Wesley Hills Choice - Energy Aggregation Program will launch this July.  Residents who currently use O&R as their electricity supplier will be automatically opted-in to the program with their first energy bill after July 1st, and those who are using a different Energy Supply Company (ESCO) can opt-in to the program at any time.

The rate for electricity will be fixed at 6.879¢/kWh through January 2021.  This rate is approximately 15% lower than the average rate from O&R for the last 12 months.  A green up option is offered at 7.384¢/kWh.

The program has a website at www.wesleyhillschoice.com where more information is available including how to enroll, opt-out or choose green energy.  In addition to the information on the website, questions can be addressed to our Program Administrator, Good Energy, by calling (833) 696-3759.

Good Energy has begun running ads in local newspapers and will be holding an information session at Village Hall later this month (an update will be sent out when the date is set).  Good Energy will soon begin a mail campaign to inform residents about the program and let them know how to opt-in or opt-out.

Additional enhancements to the program are planned for later this year such as adding natural gas, and an option join a Community Distributed Generation program (i.e. Community Solar) that may offer additional discounts of 5-10% off electricity costs.
